another thing you can try....dont know if its been covered already.....after syncing you clock.....go to control center ....New...Ninja Script Output...(will give you a blank screen).....right button click on that...and just select, Ninja Script utilization Monitor.....This will show you the time all your scripts, all your different Indicators, Text are taking and In ms .....run that for a minute or two and see if something is really eating up your time.....this will cause your Lag time to increase.....if you find one of them is running 4000 ms and the rest is running 100, 200,300....there may be your problem...I found multiple indicators running up into the thousands.....and I really wasnt using them that much....so just took them off the charts......solved my Lag problem...

I suppose that is one possibility but I typically get less than 30ms.
I do have an indicator I wrote that uses the time and sales data which is necessarily tick based. I know it's a heavy resource task, but having 10 - 20 seconds of lag seems a bit extreme.

Three important issues:

1) Are you trading with a WIRED internet connection or WIRELESS ?
I would never, ever trade Emini futures intraday with wireless.
I have a 1 gig router and a wired connection via Comcast.
Super-fast.

2) Have you elevated the Windows execution priorities of Ninja Trader processes ?
I do this with Multicharts, and it makes quite a difference.
Multicharts spawns 6 different processes when it starts up.
You need to know what function each process performs. Contact their tech support.

3) Remove all un-needed Windows processes like the Search Indexer....it's quite a hog.
There are others as well.

Thanks.
I downloaded CPU-z. Very interesting.

However, after the fact I accidentaly found this instructions which yield a subset of CPU-z.

Find out how many cores your processor has
1. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.

2. Select the Performance tab to see how many cores and logical processors your PC has.

Is there a minimum required internet speed for NT8? I have a wired connection via AT&T, but its slow.
