Will it be possible to choose the time interval/chart type to which the indicators will be applied? OR it is simply a watchlist, providing the general price, volume, etc.
Will linking option work there? If I make a single click on a security within market analyser, will it appear on a linked chart?
Finally, when is the estimate/exact release date?
Thanks.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
You are wrong, the answer for the first question is NO.
You can't select the timeframe and chart type, you can only select the instrument.
And for that reason, I've got general indicators only, which does not relate to the timeframe and chart type. I cannot select my own indicator and monitor the values within a particular column.
Quite a basic thing to implement, since you've got all the rest already...
I apologise for my wrong argument. I didn't think of searching for "indicator" among other indicators
If there would be possible to add a special column(s) with buttons buy/sell, having also the predefined lot size and other order criteria - this would be absolutely perfect tool. Anyway, it makes the main job already, which is quite nice.
I see there’s an enhancement for the Account Performance Window. It looks nice and it does say there are bug fixes for the calculation of data. Hopefully this will fix the issues with erroneous trades showing up. Regardless, there’s been requests made in the past for the trades to be editable. ( In NT7 they’re supposedly editable on the day they’re made but not into the past. ). I’d like to see that they’re editable, including past dates, in case there are erroneous trades that the bug fixes did not catch.
Even more important:
Exporting. I’d also like to have a way to export the trades ( and even schedule this to run automatically ) in a structured data file so that we could automate publishing our trading performance.
Importing the trades is equally important. There are times when trades are taken on different computers ( for a variety of reasons such as fail over to a back up trading system ). Periodically we would want to consolidate the trading record from various computers.
A couple of other features I'd like to see in the Account Performance Window: Additional Fields
1. A field/column that displays the "system" that the trade came from. If it's a strategy then this displays the name of the strategy. If it's a manually entered trade then it says "manual". It should also display the workspace name.
2. A freely editable field to allow users to add notes to each trade.
All of above should also be included in the import/export structured data file mentioned in my previous post. As mentioned earlier, the initiation of an export can be scheduled. It would also be a good idea if there is an option to trigger an export on each completed trade.
i was thinking of having the ability to change the way bars are time stamped. on NT7 the bars are stamped at the close. it would be nice if we could set this as a global setting in NT for time stamping the bars at open. maybe even really cool custom time stamping options that i dont even know about yet.
dont believe anything you hear and only half of what you see
