this indicator is from an old version of pas. I made this in 2011. since then many new versions were created for nt7. with other words that indicator is obsolete. it doesn't work with the pas in the download section.
hi friends
thanks for creating a very much valuable system.
i want to add some order flow theory with swing line
with price action swing we can see how much length/points/volume/time consume from swing low to swing high & vice versa
1. can we add delta figure same way. i want to see id volume/ ask volume/ net delta volume/% delta from swing low to swing high & vice versa ?
delta is the true strength of any market & its clearly shows the actual strength of market.
2. i also want to add cumulative delta in stead of any oscillator for confirmation
Download the pjsdelta from the link provided in the previous post and then look for a post on 28 Jan on this forum that I wrote.
That post provides the code within that you will need to get PAS working with pjscumdelta.
Note that it is instantiated in the configure section, not where other indicators are instantiated - only way it worked for me, but I fudge my way through programming, so there might be a better way.
I would like to join the fanclub and say thanks for this great indicator!
I'm just starting to use it and play around with it.
I first tried it in NT7 and I could swear I had it re-start for each session, but I can't do this in NT8. I re-opened NT7 and seems I have the same issue there.
For most of my charts, I use the US equities session RTH 09:30-16:00. I don't want swings plotted from the end of the prior session close (16:00) to the next session open at 09:30. I want the indicator to start fresh each day.
I sure hope this is possible and that I'm simple being blind to some basic setting at the moment.
EDIT: I'm adding a picture for illustration to be clear. The picture displays Friday with a gap up open. The indicator plots a swing from the prior close yesterday through the gap open. I don't want this. I use some simple cropping in paint to show what I want it to look like.
I have spent some more time on this over the weekend including all three indicators included and it does not seem like it's not currently possible to have this indicator re-start for each trading day.
Would loading just the current day help? To do this right click in your chart and choose Data series, under Data...change Days to load to 1. You migh also want to select the correct session template. Might not be what you want since you can't look at prior days, but you could load a second chart to look at prior days.
I appreciate the suggestion and it would indeed work for one day of data, but I'm afraid I would need this for prior days also with regards to historical analysis.
If any programmers are reading and feel they're up for it, I'm willing to pay for this modification.
EDIT: From what I can tell, Sierra does support this functionality on their zig zag. Makes me wonder if I should check out Sierra after all, but I'd love to stick with Ninja for now. I do need a good zig zag though...
I like to have data displayed at each swing high and low, but it seems like this indicator doesn't consistently plot this for all the swings. Please see attached picture.
Is this a common error or am I doing something wrong?
I was at my other computer so this is for NT7, but I do think I've seen the same on NT8. As can be seen on this picture this entire day is ignored. On preceding and following days swing points are also missing. That is, all swings as plotted. It's just the data labels that are missing. Scrolling back and forth doesn't help.
