Also saw the superman trailer, and now wishing I hadn't cuz it looks freakin awesome and now I'm sure I'll be disappointed by the movie cuz there's no way it can be that good.
Looking forward it too , hopefully Zack Synder has improved his range. I very much liked parts of "Watchmen". For those who haven't heard, DC comics has rebooted the "DC universe" a year ago, and all the major characters. Superman is now much younger and they changed his costume to approximate the upcoming movie. And Wonder Woman is his current semi-secret girlfriend now They go out to dinner and stuff as Clark Kent and Diana Prince. Batman already figured it out. Wonder if they will explore that dynamic in a future "Justice League of America" movie.
Overall, disappointed with "Star Trek: Into Darkness". They used up every re-used idea from Star Trek II and the original series in a mostly hollow and ineffective way. It's still "Starship Troopers" on the Enterprise. No real emotional impact or feeling lasting after the movie. Still a solid action adventure movie if more like other conventional movies with solid acting, but it's far different from the old "your father's" Trek now. Overall I felt the previous Abrams' Trek (2009) affected me more nostalgia-wise. The old Kirk jump-kicked with both legs with his own brand of "space captain" fighting. Felt like the critics overrated it while they mostly underrated "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey".
The new Will Smith movie with his son "After Earth" has terrible ratings, it's being compared to Battlefield Earth as one of the worst movies ever... lol.
Yikes.
That's gotta hurt his son's ego a bit, and daddy too.
I like all the DC reboots, except Watchmen. I just couldn't get into it. I tried on two separate occasions, and both times gave up inside of 30 minutes and have never seen the rest of it.
