I build one of these, an i7 core. Running 5 monitors. I used an SSD drive instead of regular HD and find this thing is stupid fast. Bullet proof and smoking fast.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I just built a system with a 120GB Kingston HyperX. It was rated pretty good on egghead and they have been running some pretty pretty good deals lately. Right now you can get it for $160 with a rebate. I have never had a computer start so fast. Just make sure your computer doesn't go into sleep mode. SSDs do not like that. I made that mistake and I thought I fried my drive. Had to search for it in my bios advanced settings. No big deal, just took me a day to figure it out.
Hi Mike,
Hey all trader's
I bought on ebay graphics card ati 5870 Eyefinity 2 gb.
I have not had cable supplied (new without box), no power cable and drive installation.
which cables I need to make it work well?
I ask for advice on the installation
Thanks in advance. SEW
Mini-DisplayPort on the card side. Remember, if your monitors are not native DisplayPort, you can only drive 2 at a time. Get the right connector on monitor side. Good site is monoprice.com.
For power cable you'll have to just look at the card as I can't remember. I think it is a 4-pin or 6-pin PCIe graphics power port, maybe two of them. Most power supplies come with these already, you don't need to buy anything for the card if you have a recent (a few years) power supply.
