Very interesing. I'm very curious why you've choosen this combination
of fruits and vegetables?
Is there any good book or website about a good mix of fruits and vegetables?
I quess the mix must be balanced so you will get all needed minerals and vitamins etc

Juicing removes the pulp from your drink, so it requires a lot of vegetables and fruit. I am drinking approximately 2-3 liters of juice a day, and another 1-2 liters of water. To give you an idea, here is how much fruit and vegetables I juice about every two days:
- 4 apples
- 2 oranges
- 2 heads of romaine
- 2 heads of bok choy
- 1/2 bunch of cilantro
- 1/2 bunch of parsley
- 1/2 bunch of watercress
- 1/2 head of celery
- 1 pound carrots
- 3 cucumbers
- 1/2 pineapple
- 2 mangoes
- 2 lemons
- 2 inches of ginger root
...

Anyone that has been considering buying a Blendtec, here is an amazing deal on one (24 hour sale only).
Normally they are $450, QVC has them for $329.

I've done quite some research the last days and see you've made a nice list
and i agree with your choices.
The only question i still have is that i can't find anywhere on how much
to combine e.g. why 2 lemmons and not 0.5 or why 3 cucumbers and not 6?
I've found enough info on the web on healthy foods but some guidance on mixing
would be nice.

The above will make approximately 5 liters of juice, or enough for approximately 2 days. Now I have tried various other fruits and vegetables, but the above are my "staples", the ones I consume daily.

Well, I highly recommend you watch the excellent movie "Forks over Knives" which answers this question with tons of fact based information, countless research over decades and millions of people, and not just believe me.

Mike do you mix all those items into one juice or smoothie? Do you have any favorite juice or smoothie recipes?

It's just by taste. I started out referencing other recipes. You can just YouTube "juicing recipes" to find a bunch, or google that. I then adjusted to taste.
I find a little lemon in each drink (1-2 lemons) helps with the taste. In some drinks though it is not a good combo, so you will use none.

Yes, I have watched it, and it is quite sad. But I am a healthy vegan, not an ethical vegan, so that is not why I decided to do this.

No. That was just roughly what I use in a 2 day period.
Here are some typical drinks:
4 oranges
1 lb carrots
Makes 1 liter
--
6 apples
2 lemons
1 inch ginger root
half head celery or half head parsley
Makes 1 liter
--
1/2 pineapple
1 mango
1 apple
Half head spinach or half head romaine or half head bok choy
1/3rd bunch watercress
1/3rd bunch parsley
1/3rd bunch wheatgrass
Makes 1 liter

I have a vid of Linda Raschke talking how important it is to eat right and how it helps to be ready for your trading day. I can post it or perhaps you guys have seen it already. Seems I am far behind the 8 ball in this forum. I have a lot of catching up to do..LOL
