I am considering other possibilities for the purchase of monitors
the Dell U2412M
in Italy price € 349.69
TFT 23 "SyncMaster MD230X6 wide (8 ms)
SAMSUNG price € 2,890.00.
(which is about € 481.00. for monitor.)
What do you recommend between the two?
Dell or Samsung?
the image quality?
thanks in advance for disponibility. SEW
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Hard to tell, I think it is a matter of taste and of course buying power...
The SyncMaster have a few advantages:
Very thin bezel
Made for multi display application
And thus can be viewed from the side without any problems whatsoever...
Native DP
Come with stand
Good quality ( this is my personal opinion and I don't have any proof for that)
It all is designed as a multi monitor array, so everything fits and should work
There are also some disadvantages:
Price

The stand might be less adjustable than others
I have read somewhere that the response times are not that good (because of the technology used to make them viewable from a wide angle) (I don't find them that slow though)
This makes them less ideal for gaming
They are very very heavy (you need a good desk )
The other question is whether you really need them. 6 monitors is a lot, so it might be slightly overkill....but they sure are nice....
hi vvhg,
I listened to your advice!
4x U2412M Dell (my choice)
I have a doubt on the cables to be connected to the video card.
this is good cable for card video / monitor ?
vvhg
take advantage of your patience
now I have to buy a new PC !!!
think as if you were buying : Ahhhhh:
I make a good desktop configuration (badget max £ 2,000)
Happy to help. But please be advised that I am not an expert!
First question would be what you will use the PC for? Is it for trading exclusively or are you planning to do other things with it as well?
Vvhg
PS. Pressing the thanks button every now and then is always a nice gesture...(no, I am not fishing for compliments)
I would look for the following:
Intel Sandy Bridge (2600K is quick enough imho): This one
Good mainboard, don't ask me which one, but I can tell you what I have: ASUS P8P67 EVO
8GB ram minimum, always is good to have plenty, so you don't have to use the hard drives fore it....) (I wouldn't chose no-name, go for sth like Kingston)
120 GB SSD (minimum), if that's not quick enough, get a RevoDrive (expensive)
Big SATA HDD for backups (1TB or so)
Cooling is important, better to get one or two fans more than necessary, also has the advantage that it will not be as noisy as fans running full speed...
If I remember correctly, you already have the graphics card?
Get win7 64 bit not 32 bit (if you don't already have it)
Are you planning to build the PC yourself or buy it ready to run?
hi vvhg ,
I am not able to build only the PC
Mike has kindly already recommended this solution.
hours I would also like your opinion.
I think this is the place to purchase (you have an alternative?) Custom Build Gaming PC, Desktop PC, Custom Computers, Gaming Laptops
I already have the graphics card, Radeon HD 5870 Eyefinity 2 GB
I think what @Big Mike recommended looks like good advice. The only things I would think about are:
1. if you can, select no graphics card to save some money.
2. get good cooling that is ideally ultra silent (I hate loud computers)
3. I can only agree with @Big Mike, get a good keyboard and mouse. I use a gaming mouse and would always recommend that.
