What is so funny to me is that Disinfectants are antimicrobial agents designed to inactivate or destroy microorganisms.
A big deal has been made about the President mentioning injecting disinfectants.
Disinfectants are currently being used in injectable vaccines.
Disinfectants are used in vaccines to kill bacteria that is in the formulation.
Two examples are:
Thiomersal is a well-established antiseptic and antifungal agent.
The pharmaceutical corporation Eli Lilly gave thiomersal the trade name Merthiolate.
It has been used as a preservative in vaccines.
Formaldehyde is used to inactivate bacterial products for toxoid vaccines.
Neither of these are 'bleach' but the President did not mention bleach, that was something mentioned by a reporter.
Both of the chemicals above are in low doses, they are both actually disinfectants used in vaccines.
I don't think anyone is recommending self-medication by injecting anything that is not approved by a doctor.
Some drug addicts may disagree.

A little off-topic but I think I know what you are saying.
I watched the video of Trump mentioning disinfectants. To be fair to him, he never suggested that people should try this stuff at home. He was merely enquiring with his medical experts as to whether injecting disinfectants or using UV light is something that can be looked into.
The trouble is, him being the President, he needs to be extremely careful about what words he uses and, most of all, how people may perceive what he is saying, because the wrong choice of words may get some desperate people to self-medicate, as apparently already happened here.
