Well, actually no cleaning yet. That was x-rays, probing crap, cancer scan, pictures, etc.
Monday is cleaning She said I do have some plaque build up but not very much.
I did take out some plaque from in between my bottom front teeth a few years back myself.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
actually, that is what your statement communicated...
that in order to be successful trading, one sacrifices health..
perhaps the argument should have been postured a different way... such as: trading suffers of the same risks as other professions that require mental vs. physical effort, the sacrifice of our health due to to sedentarism..
you should play the lotto more often... you are extremely lucky... or have damn good genes ... cancer is a serious thing, specially if you chew tobacco, so check yourself more often just in case.
a tour of the $NYSE will point out the doctor's offices on the second floor, does choosing the electronic trading path have any less of an impact on health? Find me some stats and I'll change the wording. It seems that threads should be solution based or they become worthless. we can argue all day long if you'd like, I have the time, but I don't think it will make others feel compelled to share their stories and solutions which is the purpose. I came to learn.
interesting... as an FYI... all major company workplaces (at least companies that I have worked for which have been in financial services) will have onsite facilities with medical staff...
I believe your view is too narrow, hence why I argue the issue is not just with retail traders.. but with everyone that has a sedentary job...
not sure why the defensive posture as to me challenging your statement, it is a public forum after all and if you are really here to learn then you should be willing to look at other points of views... and please note that I did mentioned solutions that can be easily implemented with my argument...
proper fuel (food products) do not require lots of expense, just stop buying processed foods and right there you cut out most of the harmful chemicals from your body... and proper exercise doesnt require a rocket scientist, or lots of funding... it merely requires a park where one can run and a childrens monkey bar to do pull ups.. as well as two buckets with sand or water for even more core work... held by a broom stick to do squats or even bench presses...
I have been overweight, but only by 20-30lbs... then again, I am 6'2", 36yo, and weight 185lbs and my own personal worst was 225lbs... it all concentrated on my belly area, nothing like having a tub belly ... to me that was overweight, to others that might be normal... heck, I increased my life insurance policy a year ago when my 3rd child was born, and to the insurance company I was overweight since they expect me to be 175 lbs... I havent been that weight since high school days..
I lost the weight by eating right and exercising, hence why I make the statements I make... it doesnt require lots of $$$, just will power... I guess since I never had vices I cant really offer an opinion on the grade of difficulty for applying one self to a task, to me it comes easy as I set my mind to it I visualize a path and then I execute by following that path and adapting to the changes in circumstances as I go along.
anyhow, I guess we all have our own personal meaning of what learning might entail...mine obviously differs from yours given I believe my argument was along the lines of the spirit of the thread and provided useful data.

Once again, not the point , nor does an argument exist , the goal is in sharing health solutions with other traders who share a similar lifestyle if not looking for solutions or to share them as well.
This is not a thread to say that electronic trading is any more dangerous or unhealthy than selling bananas, I thought of the idea and figured I'd throw it out there and see what comes of it , I personally am making changes in my life , and tied it in a little bit but did not realize that someone would take issue with it

You disagreed with my intro because it was a quick one and just to get the ball rolling, I have no issue with that, I did disagree with your disagreement because i feel that you have missed the purpose of starting this thread and what I was hoping to see come from it , actually I put a thank you for suggesting solutions
A few people have taken time and responded with some personal stories that do pertain to the topic and in a roundabout way you have issues with them as well, do you honestly think that Howard would share that story and walk for hours daily if it did not have a positive impact on his life and health, did he suggest that you order a trek desk, I guess I'm just missing your point , if that is a narrow view, good
other than that I see an effort to share some helpful information as well so that's great, like to see more of that
I dont have "issues" with the personal stories of others (them being the 4 people, including me, that have posted)... I merely asked him simple question... he posted his "trading workstation setup" because he wanted to share what he does to stay "healthy" ... my question goes to that post... and it is simply, did it worked for him and to what extent? has he lost the weight he clearly had on, and by how much? it is up to him to respond if he so decides, as the questions were meant to explore further his method... one that didnt worked for me, but it can certainly work for others.
btw, a bit offtopic, but ... you should use the built in multiquote type reply, faster and will separate the comments you are responding to and make them easier to read, etc...
