@vegasfoster, building on the idea discussed in a recent webinar, would you please modify this to allow the user to specify the number of 'days back' to build the vwap from? The idea discussed in the webinar was that a two day, or three day vwap may be more relevant than a 1-day (current session) vwap.
I thought this would be easy enough, but I'm having problems. If I try to set the bar index for the start of the calculation outside the current day or evening session, it is reverting to the index at the beginning of the week regardless of the index I'm using. I'm going to try break down how the pivot point variable indicator works and apply the same method, but it may take me a couple days cuz I'm slow.
Good idea. @aslan - could you make a VWAP Bands study with 3 deviations that allows the user to select how many 'days back' are included in the study, instead of the normal current session only?
Mike:
I would like to try runningvwapbands - but I can not get it into Sierra Charts Studies
1. I tried moving dll into Data folder, but when I go to Sierra Chart Analysis I can not see any runningvwapbands study available
2. I looked under 'custom user studies', there is an add button that I could use if I could find runningvwapbands in the list
3. last avenue seems to be paste the source code into Sierra Chart and build a dll using Sierra Chart tools.
4. I have posted to Sierra Chart Forum, but seems like my post got deleted - I do not know what is going on there. They have a new button which I need to click to attach "resolved", "user discussion", etc to each post, which seems to be causing me a problem.
thank you
It worked, So easy when you know the secret
also Sierra Chart did reply
"We will check on this and include the study in our next release to make it easy to access."
