what is going on now. I went and fixed that alto areas of business thing and then got this message, I believe concerning my ana pivots as the message is there and the pivots are gone.
Who is your daily data provider? Did you ever edit your historical data base to check for daily data?
The indicator clearly states that there is no daily data available. This confirms what I have already written several times, that there is a data problem.
If you do not have daily data, just set "Settlement/Close" to "CalcFromIntradayData". And please set the indicator to "ETH". It cannot calculate RTH pivots without an RTH session.
My data provider is MB Trading. I do my live brokerage for forex with them and they say that I do have end of day data but they asked what "end of day data" means to me...lol. I have made the changes that you have suggested...calc from intraday data and ETH.
Technically your chart is now correct. My chart looks a little bit different, but this is due to input values
prior day's high = 1.2386
prior day's close = 1.2321
prior day's low = 1.2315
prior day's range = 0.0071
The level S2 is calculated by subtracting the daily range of 0.0071 from the floor pivot PP = 1.2341, so my level S2 comes out at 1.2270. Yours is considerably higher, so the move downward did not stop at S2 as shown on my chart above. But that difference is data related.
Yesterday's range as shown on your chart should be smaller than 71 pips.
Technically correct is good enough for government work. When you refer to values that are different and a range that is different....could that be due to the heiken ashi price bars...or is the discrepancy larger than that?
Different a tick or two will not make much difference in what I do. Thanks so much for all the help with this. Dan
