I previously was playing around with SuperTrend. I ran across AbleTrend while doing some additional research. Now, I'm evaluating AbleSys' AbleTrend. I did a quick search here and found this interesting as well. I'm in agreement that both are very similar. I'm trying to duplicate the settings in SuperTrend so it provides the same signals as AbleTrend.
I've downloaded the latest SuperTrend U11 (which, after searching around, appears to be the latest). The screenshot in the previous thread from 2010 is probably an older version...
Could someone help me identify which SuperTrend settings I should change so as to providing the same AbleTrend indications? I could only see the QQE indicator settings in the previous thread and not sure what the SuperTrend ones were representing (within the parentheses).
I've attached a screenshot with both SuperTrend (top two charts) and AbleTrend (bottom two charts).
I will be giving AbleTrend another month trial and test it out side-by-side with SuperTrend. Results will follow in another thread when I can duplicate and perhaps fine-tune the settings!
I tried it out for a month. It doesn't work that great in a choppy market. At times I had received false buy/sell signals. It seemed to work well in a strong trending market. I think this indicator is ok but In my opinion I think its too expensive (at least for me). If anyone is interested, try it out for a month and see how it works for you.
I am a new member in the elite circle. One of the main reasons that I am here is due to this thread. I really like the indicators available that can give me a trading system similar to what Abletrend has. I viewed all of the thread so far, and really like what is here. To my dismay, however, most of these indicators are not available for Multicharts
From what I see, I am looking for the following:
QQE
T2U_BIGMO
RSQUEEZE
TSSupertrend
Ana Pivots Daily
I own a lifetime multicharts program, and do not really want to have to switch to Ninja trader (as it appears that all of these indicators are only available for ninja)
sure!
a) few people do multicharts coding
b) fewer still know both ninja and multicharts coding
c) therefore your option is limited to hiring someone to translate them and the expense will be far more than what multicharts cost. Not to mention more indicators you want to try down the road.
or download free ninja and start running those indicators and hundreds more.
