Been in Starbucks twice in the last 5 years. I have never logged in from a place other than my office and never from a machine other than those here in the office.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
If you follow my suggestion in the earlier post, when and if you do take your computer to another network Windows and/or McAfee will detect it and prompt you to allow or disallow connection.
I don't run McAfee so I can't give you specific instructions. However, try this. Find McAfee in your Programs menu and select it. Then rummage around looking for the firewall properties. Look for some that resembles public network settings.
Not necessarily. I don't have software firewall enabled on any of my computers because I am behind a firewall. However, there are risks doing that but because I KNOW WHAT I'M DOING I accept the risk.
Well, i kinda, sorta know what i'm doing but I still prefer virus protection just because I don't use my computer exclusively 100% of the time for trading. However i would dump McAfee, Norton, and any paid for (or not) POS protection and download some free Avast antivirus (you can pay for it to if it makes you feel better!). I've had far less trouble with Avast than anything else, thus far...
