The good news is that wire tranfers don't disappear in the cyberspace. Usually the problem is from the sender side.
If you have the 'proof of tranfer' give that to your bank and they will find it, usually in 5 business days.
The bad news is that your bank or the correspondent could charge a high commission. It happened to me with Deutsche Bank, just to say one of smallest bank of the planet ... they charged 50 eur, 10 business day time, and it was a broker mistake !!! So be carefully about the sender papers.
