I was hired years ago as a trainee in newly formed stockbrokerage company as a stockbroker and I had absolutely zero knowledge of trading which they didn't seem to care about. What I believe they cared about was I was confident when I spoke and I was enthusiastic. So in a nutshell being enthusiastic and confident speaking can carry a lot of merit in the sales world which it sounds like this opportunity is.
Quantismo... been there done that.....

Just looking fro experience right now, I have a side-project thats going thru legal right now so I may be forced to leave...however I primarily want to built my book of business to the point where I have less stress to find clients then asses my place at that point...I am quite the free butterfly haha... Real dream is to setup wifi at my favorite surf spot in mex and trade my own account primarily
As a futures broker you have to be willing to pick up the phone and call all day long and open accounts. You need thick skin, its not an easy job. You will get hung up on, screamed at, sworn at. You have to be able to let it fall off your shoulder like it is nothing and pick up the phone and make the next call. Not everyone can do it.
Honestly an entry level position like this costs them next to nothing and they have high turnover. If you want to impress the managing partner, show him you can sell. That's what they want in this role, a salesman. They can careless about your trading ability.
That's the name of the game baby! lesggoo
I started my own biz and went door knocking for a month, I have been through my fair share of yelling and people who are just mad at the world... but theres always another door to knock on haha
