I'm on NT7, when I right click a chart and bring up the properties I don't see a field for text or markers anywhere on the menu. hmmm...

Right Click and get the properties for the Data Series, not the Chart.

Yep, reply from NT support, for NT7

Please set 'Plot executions' to 'DoNotPlot' in the Data Series menu of the chart to disable the display of executions.
