To me it is all about being comfortable and able to handle the gun, so I don't think a .22 is a bad choice for beginners. Also, I not going to be aiming but blasting! If someone tries to invade my home uninvited with 12 gauge pistol grip mossberg.
There are a lot of misconceptions about Texas gun laws. The open carry for handguns (must have concealed license) which I'm against, just passed in Texas. While other states has had this for years. Texas also has some the most stringent requirements (good thing IMO) for concealed handgun license. I really don't think there is need for the new open carry law, especially on college campuses it really is just a political statement to appease some. IMO some of these open carry guys do more harm than good, and are not helping to promote safe gun laws.

When it comes to gun laws I don't understand this. Why is it safe to have guns at some locations but not others?
If it's safe for somebody to be carrying a gun at my place of work why is not safe for somebody to be carrying a gun at a judge's or a politician's place of work?
I had 14 Ruger 10/22s. I inherited 9 of them. They are little Honda cars, tons of customization. I don't shoot them much, but I always enjoy buying the latest Call Of Duty looking stocks for them.
