Honestly, if you are worried about saving $200 on software then you probably don't have enough to trade futures.
Also, I doubt that is an approved use of their software. Most companies offer extra keys because many traders have extra computers and not for sharing among multiple users (for example, we always have offered 1 extra license per subscriber/purchaser for extra machines but not for sharing among users). Futures contracts are large. Even a few order entry mistakes can end up costing a couple thousand dollars.
I'm not sure why you feel you require the things listed because there are other good programs out there and probably cheaper options too. True scalping is also the most difficult type of futures trading there is (to make money from).
Yeah I found out a bit later that you're not supposed to split the jigsaw keys.. if you're super cost averse or poor then I guess it could make sense, but yeah you're not supposed to.
I was already wondering when this might come up and you are right of course.
I do not mind paying any of the above listed once I know that this is the kind of trading I want to do regularly and feel comfortable with.
I do mind paying several thousand dollars for something to try though...
And I don't plan to scam anybody out of a license payment, but knowing there are 2 might give me a chance to find someone who'll let me try it out for a few weeks first.
A lot of us former Forex guys come over to Futures to experience real scalping and using a DOM and the benefits of using an exchange vs and over the counter market.
I don't think that you need all of those things to get started. You can typically find a broker who will basically give you a platform for free that will come with a DOM. You don't have to use Jigsaw, although it gives the most information of any DOM but you don't have to use it as you get started.
You should probably just get your feet wet and not use Ninja or Jigsaw and once you know that this is what you want to do, then spend more money-- You might find out that you don't need them.
