Yeah, I guess you have to go to one of those holistic vets. I guess it is like a naturopath for us humans. My vet isn't a holistic, she didn't recommend it. I have been skimming through a book by Lew Olson, it talks about raw feeding.
I cubed up a12 oz choice ribeye and some ground turkey, added calcium carbonate to compensate for the bone for his dinner. They say you need about 900mg per pound of meat to balance it. I haven't fed him any raw meaty bones yet.
Process oriented goals #1.

My last boxer was a brindle, think you would call it a reverse brindle. I found him in a pet store in Spain when I was there.
This is our first fawn colored one. Before my son was born I found a fawn boxer stuffed animal. He was carrying this stuffed animal everywhere he went for the last year or so. Then he started asking me for a real one. He said he wanted a dog like his stuffed animal. I gave in.
His name is Max. He named him after the movie Max, I think the dog was a Belgian Malinois.
They tend to have that effect on people I've been fortunate enough to have a few black labs, a Siberian husky, a Weimaraner, a couple of mutts... when Amy and I hooked up (11 years ago yesterday lol) she had a boxer, and it was all over after that.
Yeah that's what I originally was going to get but being the first time having a dog that actually has a working drive, I went with the gsd to see if I can handle the constant work. So far its been really good ... that hard part now is keeping her out of the Christmas tree.
I can totally relate to the Christmas Tree. Max is stripping the noble fir needles off the branches. Ornaments are midpoint and up. I keep having to check the water. Next year, a fake tree.
