I think you've not understood the situation with AMP and NT.
If you had an AMP account before the date they stopped doing business together, AND if you had an NT license at that time that was set up
WITH NT to be used with AMP, then you would be good. (Yes, they know the broker you are connecting the NT platform to.)
If you didn't have the AMP account before then, no good. But also, if you didn't have the NT license set up at the time by NT for AMP, also no good.
If you just got someone's old NT license, then unless it was also set up with NT to be used for AMP, it won't work. If you get an old license, and then ask NT to let you use with AMP, they won't do that. (And, again, they do know the brokers their customers are connecting to.)
Now, if someone (a) has a current AMP account and is willing to give it to you (
no one will), and (b) also has an NT license with THAT account, and is willing to also give it to you, it will all work, assuming you are now willing to impersonate him to your broker. Your broker, AMP, sure won't like that, though, and would kick you out if they knew. But you couldn't use it with your present account.
Sorry, but this is not something you are going to be able to pull off. Live with it.
Just use another trading platform instead of NT with your AMP account. There are a lot of them out there.
Bob.
