Very nice graphic, thanks for sharing! Long ago, when I started my commodities and futures journey, I studied options. It did not really appeal to me, so I just stuck with futures. Maybe one day I will dip my toe in that pond. ~vmodus

Options are great enablers if you have really small amount that you want to trade or have really nice account but would rather just eat premium on expiry to expiry basis, just don't sell them without understanding how that can make you open to unlimited risk.
