Hi there,

Current ping is averaging 100-130 to NT.

I don't think I will get my neighbor to ping the server.

He was kind enough to run a speed test off of his phone:

1st: 130 download, 11 upload and ping was 27ms
2nd: 157 down, 9 up and ping was 37ms.

Speedtest on my connection: 13.6/1.02 speed. Idle latency=346, down=70 and up=307

The one thing I can say about my provider is at least it is stable except when the power goes out.
Cheers!

What's your current ping time to your brokers server?

Does order placement follow seeing some things on your charts?

Ask your neighbour to also ping your brokers server.

Given those ping times, Starlink hasn't got a downside. Make the change and enjoy faster response time as well as faster downloads !

Hey Kiwi,

Since you had some good input regarding Starlink, I thought I would post the results of the change over from DSL connection to Starlink.

I received the Ethernet adapter today, so I just finished connecting it to my trading PC.

Before Starlink:
Ping:456
Down: 13.48 (usually lower)
Up: 1.07

Starlink:
Ping 32
Down: 213.22
Up: 7.95

Needless to say, I am very pleased considering we are out in the woods and no fiber within 3 miles and no hope of getting.

Cheers!
