I got a couple of trades off on ES.
The first trade i took was the VWAP Bounce, and i traded that to the 4994 liquidity level where it did temporariliy pull back. A few ticks there.
I tried a few trades using the big 5000 as the line in the sand. 5004 had become an area of liqidity. I attempted the 5004 to 5017 4 or 5 times.
My trading was very defensive, maybe cowardly. I pulled my SL back to BE almost immediately, and largely screwed most of those attempts up. Came out with a few ticks.
My Best Trade of the Day
During pre-market i browsed a few markets, NG (Natural Gas) being one of them.
I had the 1.997 Swing Low marked up, and the 1.971. I liked the break of the Swing Low and the $2.00 mark.
I placed my Entry, SL & TP early and didnt even look at the chart again until later in the evening. It played out well, and as expected.
Observation from today is that i think watching scalping and watching the NQ chart, whilst trying to sniper the ES/CL/GC Levels is screwing up my mentaility. NQ Moves so fast in comparison.
Hanging around on the terrace with some sunset drinks , i liked the look of the CL Trade.
Using the 75.00 as the support, stop loss at just below the previous swing low.
I was on TradingView mobile, and didnt realise i entered for 10 contracts instead of the intended 1 contract. Exited the trade for a big L.
Low and behold, i exited at the at the absolute bottom tick for that leg up :-(
Caught the early morning 5042 high and scalped a few contracts down, albeit rather defensively.
Tried a long bounce from the VWAP, but that didnt work out and i gave a bit back.
Thwarted with "Thermal Problem Detected" alarm on my laptop's.
I dunno if there's really a problem or if Dell's software doesnt like me smashing the cpu at 100% for 3 hours whilst running playback on NinjaTrader.
I took a few scalps on ES, NQ, CL and GC. Tried catching tops and bottoms, and generally took a few cuts off that idea.
My trade of the day was with Natural GAS (NG).
I sold the rip and covered after if broke the lows and started a small pullback.
Very happy with this one, because it was well planned and well executed. I had a good entry, a sufficient stop loss and a good risk to reward.
