No, you just need to edit the indicator, replace the .wav file with another .wav file. Make sure that all .wav files that you want to use are located in the program directory of NinjaTrader, subdirectory sounds.

Ninjatrader 7.0 cannot handle all types of .wav files, MPEG format needs to be converted to PCM with an audio recorder. There is no similar problem with NinjaTrader 6.5 .

Hmm, no, or I don't understand your very very bad english .

The line:
alertFileName=Instrument.MasterInstrument.Name.ToString()+".wav";will read a file named "ES.wav" if the indicator is runs on an ES chart, "TF.wav" if it a TF chart, etc.
So no need to change this line, you just need to create and add ES.wav, TF.wav, ..., in the NT sounds directory.

Maybe this is what you have understood, but as I'm not 100% sure...

Thanks for the hint. I was wrong and have modified my post. It really depends on how this is to be used. If it is for a fixed workspace, nothing is to be done. If you want to toggle all the times between instruments with changing sounds, then the code needs to be changed.

Is there a way to modify this tool so that it applies to an indicator panel . For instance I wanted to add it to Buy SellVOL ASZ indicator so that when it goes over a certain Volume I get an alert.

Thanks

Trafford
