Funny - my story is I believe quite exceptional: due to trading and all I needed and wanted to learn about it I ended up transferring to IT department (development) of the company I work for ... my background is in... Economics
The T520, T420, and X220 are finally showing up on the lenovo site. I went ahead and priced it out, and I think I will wait for the W520 to be released to make my final decision, but I am very much inclined to just carry one laptop going forward and just max out the W520 with 16GB.
Couple of issues with the lenovo site... though the microssd are supported, they are not yet able to be priced, and to me that is a big deal since I really want to have the 80GB SSD and 500GB-1TB mSATA ... and I have to look into the DVD bay drive mSATA drive.. or just carry another 2.5" 1TB USB...
sysot1t, I didn't see a reference to the W510. I'm using one now, and although I was thinking of a desktop for a multiple monitor set-up, is the W510 a capable trading machine?
depending on your specs, but yes... it will drive a 24" 1920x1200 with discrete graphics card no issues, not sure with builtin intel..but i assume it will...so if you have the 15.6" FHD, you get two screens as 1920x1080 if you like... I know there are some devices that will allow more than one monitor to it, like 3-4, that might require you to use the docking station... I have not looked into that piece 100%.
the new minidock can support 3 monitors no issues (1xVGA 2xDVI or DP) ... which means one can have a 4 monitor setup with no issues.

anyhow, I went with the T420s...didnt get the docking station, since I just use my workstation when I am here at home... but I use the T420s when I am remote.. it works great, everything is SSD and the resolution is just right... I wish a bigger screen, but the W520 was just too big..
anyhow, since I am using it to trade from work some times... I went and got me a Toshiba Mobile LCD displaylink cert usb based screen... it is kind of cool... using it right now...
so now I got two screens again and I can see more things.. even when away from my workstation at home..
if you travel a lot, and need screen real estate, you should check it out.. it is not cheap, but it can be carried around..
