It is interesting how we think!!! We are asking any vendor who is offering some indicators or services to show to us some record about how good they are.
On the other hand we are soliciting an answer from strangers who would not have any clue what is wrong with you. You are asking a stranger to diagnose your injured hand by 3 pictures you attached. Did you ask if they went to medical school?
I'm sorry you might not like my answer but would you ask a stranger you never met in your life how to place your stop on your trade?
I do not think so!!! I think in life just like in trading mitigate your risk first and the rest would come later.
Just one other input for you to consider before you run to see your doctor. I would!!!
I'd second Aztrader's re a visit to an "Urgent Care" sort of clinic for at least an opinion. Maybe learn more and at a lower cost than you might expect. Hope it gets better!
Broke my finger boxing years ago in high school. Actually I dont know if I broke it, but it hurt like hell and when it finally healed up, it never set right.
Cut each hand seriously with a razor on different occasions. As a person who hesitates about going to a doctor. I didn't hesitate a split second with these and went to a quick clinic. Both times I had numbness because of tissue trauma and nerve damage. Another time I injured my finger and just went to Walgreen to get a metal splint, gauze and tape. Another injury, puncture, again to Walgreens for benatine, butterflys, gauze and tape.
I'd see a doctor right away. I wouldn't take a risk, since infections can happen quickly. You wouldn't want to lose a finger if the infection is really bad.
Make sure you have antibiotics at hand if you decide to treat the wound yourself. Polysporin, hydrogen peroxide and a change of bandages/gauze every so often is the key here.
Well guys it is bad. Just got back. It is broken, chipped, fractured and dislocated in multiple places.
It might also require surgery due to a tendon not letting go.
I have an appt with an ortho surgeon tomorrow afternoon. Right now the er clinic doc couldn't set the finger, because of the possible tendon problem. So it is still balled up sideways like in a fist.
Had to call six places just to get an appt tomorrow. Also they are reporting it to animal control, which really upsets me.
A very bad day for me. Plus I am supposed to be finishing painting and moving this week, and now with a broken hand this becomes very hard.
Also I have no health insurance, so very costly. Not a good day.
Although this is no help to Mike at this point, it may help someone in the future.
My main business is a Dog Walking business, so although not a common thing, dog fights can occur.
Major rule. Don't try and grab a collar of a dog in a fight. You will likely have the same result as Mike had. What you should do is first try for the tail, and if no tail, the hind legs, and lift, getting the whole hind end off the ground.
You won't get hurt, and neither will the dog, and usually it's enough to stop the fight.
A less preferred, but equally safe method to the human, is to kick them in the stomach. Not hard enough to do damage, but it gets their attention, and can equally stop the fight. This might sound harsh, but it beats the heck out of getting badly bit.
