Something has to give. Every congress and administration since Coolidge has created more debt, more entitlement programs and more burden on the productive taxpayers to buy themselves more votes from dependent masses.
Sooner or later, there will be more taking from government than paying in. What then. I feel bad for everyone that is currently dependent on Medicare and Social Security.....my parents are in that group, but the cycle of more promises that can only be fueled by debt must come to an end or the market will end it for us....and that is not a pretty picture.

Its a fascinating read even if you don't agree with the conclusions. I have now watched the exact scenario play out the book describes in great detail over the last 10 years....and this book was written almost 20 years ago. Currently in its 4th printing......
