Hard to know whether to cringe or to laugh. I did both.
I did have the thought that one of the appeals of crypto currencies is to not be dependent on any central authority or organization; there's a strong element of anarchy to it. Who needs rules? Who needs organizations?
But out in the digital Wild West, you're perhaps subject to the amateur mistake of one guy running everything from his one password-protected laptop, something that would never be done in one of the stodgy old-fashioned things called "banks."
We should be glad that things are happening in this space, either bad or good news. In the this creates more publicity about Bitcoin and this industry and hypes people to check what is bitcoin and how to buy it.
Every Binance failure like yesterday with their first token sale on their platform binancelabs gives more publicity to the platform and people also check for other exchanges like Kucoin/Gemini etc...
Every big lag on Bitmex/Primexbt (leverage margin trading platforms) that results in liquidation attracts more people to see what is this platform after that they learn about leverage and find more trading platforms for trading.
Everything has two sides and if nothing was happening I would be wondering if this industry is dead. It is far from dead, it is very much alive and will kick ass in the next 20 years.
