sorry for the confusion, i use a 4 and a 250 filtered T&S. i use those to follow the execution action to better interpret the action. i get worried if i start to see contrary action on the large T&S to my trade and make adjustments accordingly. i have started a thread which will follow my journey in live trading.
Having been a member here for 3 months, I've finally got over trying out masses of new indicators and find I have returned to almost exactly the same chart layout I had before I arrived (I've decided to take this as a positive sign !). The one difference is that I'm using JeffsDots as opposed to my own ema paintbar - yours is more versatile, thank-you. Screenshot of this mornings 6B chart duly attached : as you can see, a relatively low indicator count and I draw tendlines on the RSI and horizontal pivots on the chart. I am constantly annotating my charts, both to clarify entries and maintain my focus.
My BIG request is to ask if one day when you have nothing else to do (as if....), you could please add a dot alert ?
Either way, I remain very grateful for your code and very much enjoy reading this thread (even if I like your very first chart best).
I am happy that you are finding use for the JeffsDots.......I think that they are my favorite indicator.
I think the idea for a dot alert is excellent !!! I had the same idea this morning......however since I am not a programmer........and have exceeded my "indicator budget" lately......we'll have to see if one of our futures.io (formerly BMT) programmers is up for it. Just yesterday eDanny created a great indicator for me......the EMA Cross......perhaps if we post a request in the "Create my indicator free" thread someone will code it for us. What would be nice is if we could get the alert only in the direction of the trend.......which I define as the 20 ema being above or below the 50 ema. Or a different alert for an up or down dot? Let's see how far this idea gets....lol
