Congrats on the consistency, I have just started trading the instrument myself, MHI for now. I trade more of a Brooks style but I have watched a lot of Mack's videos, just curious why do you not use a runner, I think I have heard Mack talk about leaving runners. If ever there were an instrument that could rip off 100 ticks in your favor before you know it, it's this one. You get in on the right side with such high probability, seems like the math would be positive to BE the last contract and let it run.
Hi KJ - I've answered this in earlier posts but essentially I follow the principle that "a bird in the hand beats 2 in the bush" type of scalper....I'm in then out quickly which reduces my risk overall......I cant stand watching open profit evaporate and hit my stoploss....your 100tick profit is probably under 20% probability (1 in 5 attempts) I would say at best....I have tried it in the past but with little success hence I'm all in then out at my target.
AM Session -(199) tics (6/11)
PM session - +182 tics.(10/10)
NET -17 tics
Very tough day with a fantastic outcome.....in the AM session managed to dig myself into a HUGE hole being down almost 200 tics .
Yes - I realise I broke one of my trading rules but just couldn't get into the groove - should have walked away when I was down -30tics. Market action was really slow and unpredictable range bound.
Turned it off for lunch then regrouped for the 3pm PM session - started around 3:15pm then finished around 5pm....+182tics (10/10)
Mentally shagged after that, but it was worth it....happiest day to be down only 17tics.
Maybe I should set myself higher daily targets? - Honestly I dont think so....I'll stick to my target 3/3 then switch it off and get on with my life...
(2/3) -3tics
Another tough day that was harder to read than normal....no momentum today so got caught out on the last trade before lunch.
Tried to be super patient and learn from yesterdays errors and it worked until the 3rd trade.. I normally like Failed Second Entry Shorts - but not today. Fkker! I've adjusted the bracket order Target leg down to 9tics to reflect the lower volatility.
(3/3) + 60 tics - 1st post lunch trade chickened out and will call it an error.
Overall + 57tics (5/6)
Then had another crack and managed to walk away satisfied with what was available.....just no energy today in the market...very slow for the HSI.
No complaints overall as the retirement fund is having a ripper of a month up 15%+ - is it sustainable?
