ADR indicator @ Forex Factory
it will help if we can design something like they have here >>> check it out please
also to clarify what i am thinking of
the idea is like this
i want to be able to calculate the
average daily range of an instrument over a certain period that can be changed
for example - i can choose 2 days - 5 days - 2 weeks - 2 months - whatever?
that average will be considered as 100 percent before the open today
today that 100 percent will be changed depanding on what the instrument does
if the average for the emini over the past 2 weeks is 50 ticks ( 100 percent) and today at the open its down or up 10 ticks from when u want to get in then you have 40 ticks to play with ( 80% of the
adr ) - decision to enter trade,
lots of room
if the average for the emini over the past 2 weeks is 50 ticks ( 100 percent) and today sometime when u want to take a trade its down or up 45 ticks then you have 5 ticks to play with ( 10% of the adr) - decision to maybe not enter trade , no room
I upload it under elite download

looks great - how would we determine if it moved below open almost the whole adr and we can look for a reversal to go long or if its sitting above open and we can look for a short - can we add like a negative and a positive sign for above open and below open

Hey Jeff! Thanks so much for the useful template. Question: How do you determine chop with this system? And, do you always wait until you're in a run to enter after the first retrace? Thanks ahead of time.

Hey Jeff, do you still use this old template? It seems to work well for me with the es. Just wondering if it started failing at all for you. Thanks my friend!
