@piposaurus some markets closed early for the Holiday which is probably why you are seeing data freeze. My issue was with NT and unrelated.
"The day I became a winning trader was the day it became boring. Daily losses no longer bother me and daily wins no longer excited me. Took years of pain and busting a few accounts before finally got my mind right. I survived the darkness within and now just chillax and let my black box do the work."
I am working on a backup computer for the past week or so since my newer computer's hard drive crashed. This backup computer is on Windows Vista. I am using Ninja Trader (newest version 14) along with Rithmic/Vision data feed (through Optimus).
So those of you have stopped getting quotes was because there was no quotes
Happy 4th!
Matt

Since opening an account with Optimus I have found their service to be good. Matt and Jennifer are helpful and reply to your queries.
I chose them along with the Rithmic feed and Multicharts both of which I like... when they work.
On a regular basis I have had issues with the software/feed and once again this morning the data is not loading. This has happened numerous times. I have even had continuous problems with the "Sim" feed (for a year it doesn't update the correct P/L figure in real time). There are no error messages so I have no idea what the issue is and it feels like something like this happens once a week.
Problem is as there is no network status anywhere for Rithmic, either on their website or Optimus's so I can't simply check online if that's the issue. This would take seconds and stop me having to email them every week when I experience an issue.
There are no software errors appearing from Multicharts however I have "repaired" the software using the installer but it's not helped.
Rithmic was down a few Mondays ago, there were no emails to their customers and you are simply left in the dark if there is an issue. I found out about the problem through Multicharts support but if I hadn't contacted them there was no way for me to find out what was wrong.
For something as serious as trading you would have thought they would contact their clients to let them know or at the very least have a status page. This is 2013 and making a website with such simple information on can be done by a 5 year old.
Again please know that I am not necessarily complaining about Optimus themselves, however my experience using their recommended partners with this combination of feed and software (both of which are supposed to be industry leading) is very frustrating and simply not good enough so far.
Coming from a Forex Spot market background using Metatrader and a free broker feed from Aplari, I very very rarely (if ever) encountered such problems so this is quite shocking to me and not what I'm used to.
I'd be interested to hear if others have problems with Rithmic and in particularly when using it with Multicharts?
Thanks
Update - I have emailed Optimus, Multicharts and Rithmic (their sales email is all I could find) and will report here.
Thanks for your input. Matt @ Optimus also said he never experiences issues with Rithmic which makes me wonder what the cause of my issues actually are.
It was Multicharts support that told me Rithmic was down a few weeks ago, though I wonder it they just used that as an excuse to cover up their own problems...?
Thought I'd upload a screenshot showing my lack of data.
You can see the live Rithmic feed - "Rithmic 01" not connecting with an amber colour connection dot in the top-left. The "Rithmic Local Sim" tab shows a green connected dot however data is still not loaded onto the chart...
The amber connection tab led me to believe it was a feed issue seeing as it won't connect live or even load data from the Sim account...?
Could not login this morning with NT7, message "Login failed: unable to login: A call to SSPI failed, see inner exception." Called your number many times, but no answer. Please help.
