It made it thru the night, and passed memtest86 in 6 hours+. No errors.
That bios and IME update may have done it. I am running it today as redundant box #3, not proven enough to let go of the 3rd computer yet, but this is a big improvement.
@kickmic, the case fans are not as bad as my dog would have liked. The front one has a small "tick", the back fan is silent. The TigerDirect tech said try a bit of pneumatic tool oil. But I can only hear it if I try, much quieter than the previous computer.
17 days remaining in get out of jail free testing, I am going to run the burn test today after the pit close.
What type of connectors are you using from the internal graphics to the 3 screens, and what resolutions are you running? Were you able to get the flickering/lines to go away while running all 3?
Is it possible that despite it's claims, the internal graphics isn't powerful enough to drive 3 high resolution displays simultaneously without lag/issues etc?

eXtreme Power Supply Calculator I ultimately used PCPartPicker for this, but you can do a double check here, or calculate parts no longer listed in pcpartpicker.
Pick Parts, Build Your PC, Compare and Share - PCPartPicker Allows you to make your build list online, save it, change it, has a compatibility filter, has links to the most recent prices, can set alters to price drops. I loved this site.
And also, once you decide on a motherboard, go to the manufacturers website for greater detail on each model. my top 3 were, in order: ASUS / ASROCK / GIGABYTE

I put it off and got started and never finished, and now I am picking it up again, and its the most challenging endeavor in terms of price/product/review comparisons you might ever do, especially in contrast to trading....
its also a right of passage that makes you a real trader!
@GaryD as much trouble as this has been. In the end you will be glad you did it. It is satisfying to know you can do it yourself and all the troubleshooting you have done will make you more adept to handling future issues. So worth it to know how to build and work on your own machines.
"The day I became a winning trader was the day it became boring. Daily losses no longer bother me and daily wins no longer excited me. Took years of pain and busting a few accounts before finally got my mind right. I survived the darkness within and now just chillax and let my black box do the work."
