Interesting, I had similar thoughts recently... It is really strange. Steven wrote that "...there will be something new very soon", and it is more than 5 months now. The endless waiting is really very frustrating. Especially when you have some plans what to do and what to improve (NT7 - NT8 migration), and want to see what AD2 will bring. You can wait if you know what is going on. So if Steven would explain that or if he would write that he found some major bug or something like that... it would be much easier to wait...
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
that kind of mean, it ll have a certain price even for existing clients!!! maybe some discound, I d rather change licence, cause I dont use current version for NT7...
Well, if you read between the lines it sounds like he is developing some sort of feed which will most likely carry a subscription fee that will run AD8. In that way he can offer AD8 free as an upgrade to those who already own AD7 as he would generate income on the feed. Of course this is purely conjecture on my part as there is no guidance from developer. I wrote him just last week and informed him that unless he could supply such guidance I would have to look at other options to fit my needs. To date I have received no reply.
It is of course always possible that he does release something that simply knocks it out of the park. If that's the case my guess is all our grumblings will fade very fast. For those who have simply given up I suggest two alternatives: The first is MZpack which has been discussed in this thread and works in NT. Support is good and there is a fairly steady supply of updates from the developer. The second is from Emoji Trading and works in Sierra. I have been testing it for about 3 months now and I like it. They actually just released an update this week but have done no testing with it thus far.
