regarding the image you posted on this port, can you "really" trade "any" of the chart. I find renkos to be impossible to trade, and you tend to lose money VERY quick. I've backtested renkos, and I was getting TONS of money, in the real world, I was losing ALOT of money.
Thanks
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
what were you doing differently in backtest vs. live? maybe your backtest was flawed in some other way or was flawed by ninja's own limitations because renko can be quite useful.

Thanks for the code. I have already built a couple of charts featuring overlapping bars.
I was trying to find a way to create bars that did not overlap and still update in real time.
I solved the chop problem by definining each bar as it completes as either an up bar or a down bar. The next bar meets criteria to complete as an up or down following either an up or down bar.
Four scenarios instead of the usual two.
I'm putting this project down for a while. NT claims 7 will have the answer.
I have many other projects waiting for my attention.
You can't make "not overlaping" bars which are updating in real time.
The reason is very simple: current NT will not allow you to change bar's open high or low.
Once you add a new bar with open price, you can't change that open price. Period.
Similar with High and Low. You can't change existing bar with lower high or higher low.
I don't think NT7 will be different. I want to be wrong...
I think he means store the values in dataseries rather than in Bars object temporarily. That won't work because dataseries has to get its values from somewhere.. Close[0], etc are all properties of the Bars object
BTW Roonius, Thanks for MedianRenko. I like it better than original Renko bars =)
