Corpus Christi today and tomorrow. BBQ and Parade on Friday, then two days on the river walk in San Antonio for the weekend. This is also my birthday today. So good food, good drinks, and good times.
I couldn't agree more. I have a few friends who own ranches here in Texas and I try to get a cow from them every so often. That way I know how and where it was raised.
I've found an excellent butcher here in Manta, an old gringo man runs it, married to an Ecuadorian woman, and their children. He has pictures of his cattle on the wall and likes to talk about their age and weight, and which ones he ha just "hung up and cut" and what he feeds them.
I just know that the product I buy is really good, and it's an excellent price.
I'll be celebrating my birthday with a round of golf in the morning and going to the Angels vs. Astros game, fireworks show in the stadium after the game. Grilled meat may or may not be involved
