richard i am sure, you have a nice implementation and nice algorithm.
all what elliott and i mean, is that open source code provides the same performance as proprietary code.
algorithm or not, linear or non-linerar ...
the people decide to use commercial or free solutions. I would also say no, to commercial software. but that's just my opinion. ask mike and mike decides ... if this thread disappears from the forum, if you feel attacked.
but then has a forum and free opinion no longer meaningful. i think, we all of the right side from the market.

What is the sence of Open Source? Better Implementation?
Sharky and wh are both right in my view. I think Richard is mostly right lol by that I mean that I think he was trying to say that who cares if it is complex or simple, the goal of designing an indicator was not to make it simple or complex, but was to make it useful.
so I think that who cares if the indicator is commercial, free, complex or simple. The real measurement that people should focus on is the usefulness and forget everything else.
There is nothing wrong with selling a product. The market will respond accordingly if the product is useful. Everyone is entitled to earn a living. I see no evidence that anything EOT has done is deceitful or that they've made any false claims. In fact it is quite the opposite it seems EOT has gone beyond the norm of commercial indicator vendors and are really focused on hand holding for new traders.
I think this forum's existence itself is an example of my argument. The forum allows donations but does not require it. People that do not pay money can still see the content. If one day the forum were closed to only those who have donated and people that have not paid could not access the content that exists on the forum, does that make the content less relevant?
Just because something costs money does not mean it is better or worse.
richard i think your missing the whole point we are having fun trying to make indicators its a blast for us to try to figure out how different indicators work and are written why are you getting pissed you sound like your 5 years old, no one is bending your arm to read our post, we all have lives and work so let us have our hobbies without getting mad at us thanks...sharky
I just wanted to say thanks for whoever last posted this indicator, I tweaked it a bit over the course of a couple days and started trading real $$$ in stock (sorry futures is on hold while I take advantage of bull mkt) - every time the candles are above I buy (meaning 1 or two candles not trying to ride the top of a trend :P) - everytime is low I sell - its consistent. I even overlay vmazones and sharkys doublepaint ma to help me time my entries - profit of $900 dollars in two days just following those simple rules...
I find a indicator from Traders Lab. that looks like EOT allas Avg. If some one make some improvements, then it will be great addition to indicators family Big Mikes blog. I attach here some images as well as zip copy of indicator.
