I've posted about our new pup in another thread, but it's time to introduce her here. This is Shadow. We got her this week from a shelter for abandoned/abused dogs.
Believe it or not, they say she is a cross between a dachshund and a boerboel. Yes, you read that right. It is apparently fairly common for small male dogs to have their way with much larger dogs when they're lying down and couldn't be bothered to stop the little one.
So we're interested to see what she grows up to look like.
Shadow showing that she's going to have one hell of a strong bite force. We'll likely take her to puppy school to ensure she is well trained. (Boerboel's have one of the strongest bite forces)
Josie, AKA Hose Head. Very intelligent, learns very quickly, and will then look you in the eye and say, you expect me to apply this. No fish allowed in the boat without her approval. As a pup she wanted to retrieve whatever you were casting. She really likes the ladies. Take her for a run in the morning to give myself a chance to air out my head from trading and both of us to get some exercise, a guaranteed way for a market to move.
@Big Mike , can you tell us about your current avatar? It's a cool pic, did you take it yourself underwater, is this at home in the pool, judging by the water, almost looks like a nice tropical location.
I've always kind of wondered what my two water rat springers look like when they jump in off the dock.
She loves the snow -- for a little while, then she wants to come back inside and curl up on the heated floor. Then she will want to go back out again...
