So how did I get mastery over my emotions?

I didn't.

@FDateTrader, I appreciate your insight...having been a trader for just a short time compared to you....the hardest thing I've had to deal with IS emotions....but from outside the realm of trading. Life stuff has really taken a toll on me so many times, some how, some way I have survived and LEARNED to cut my losses quick...and quit while I'm ahead.

Thank you for sharing!

JD

My pleasure JD.

No trader should feel bad about having to deal with emotions. What they need to do is to learn to COPE with it and WORK around it.

I've dealt with hundreds of trading students over the years and what I had found was that the winners and losers both had emotions getting in the way. However, the winners learned to keep risk low, and have confidence in their chosen method of trading.

Good job on what you have LEARNED!

Cheers!
