MAXIMIZING GAINS i.e. taking advantage of outsized linear moves, in order to generate assymmetric profits. You can still achieve consistency in your trading (in order to insulate yourself from idiosyncratic moves and consecutive losers) but, without catching outlier moves (even intraday) it will become very dificult to scale your profits.You never truly know, what any given trade has in store for you. If you're a bit more experienced, you may recognize it while in the trade. But for most, this is a post-trade assessment, certainly not a pre-trade objective truth! Point is, if you are not in the market, you won't catch these moves. You have to trade!
