Rjay, after upgrading to NT7 Beta23 i did not need to recreate my connection as it was still there. If i read you correctly, even though the connection i had defined was preserved during the update procedure, i still need to create a new one with a different title, is this correct ? Curious we need to do this, shouldn't the update take care of this automatically ?
How can we check if we are connected to the old Zen-Fire servers vs the new servers ?
Create a new connection to access the new servers.
Your old connection is going to the old servers.
Try this indicator on both feeds. It counts orders defined as in between bid and ask .
The fewer the counts, the more accurate.

OK i understand thanks but are there any benefits in keeping my old connection, i mean if the new servers are more efficient why would i need to keep this old connection ? And what about someone who would switch from NT65 to NT7 today ? would there be a possibility to create a connection to the old servers for this new converted user ?

I don't really got your problem, the new server should be the right one to get the right data from Zen-Fire without filters, so why u care about the old server connection? Throw it and forget....

I don't care about it Luke but reading RJay's comments i got the impression the old connection was still important to keep.

There is no need for the old connection unless you are testing and comparing your indicator code.

There are a few users on the NT forum, for whatever reason, have complained about the new feed and want the old one back.
I really like the new feed, but retain connection to the old, because I can.
I actually have indicators that measured the errors in the old feed. Pretty good indicators too. I will miss them.

Is there a way to define the default session template to be used by an instrument so that when we add a new data series in the Data Series window it gets set automatically ?

You know what, that's the first place i visited but as i was not able to find a drop down menu to select the correct session template, i thought maybe that is not possible. It's not until i realised that maybe i should first remove the old entry from the default list and edit the instrument of my choice before adding it again to the default list . That was the missing link in my case. Anyway, thanks for the feedback.

This is not a quesiton here but an observation about a feature i like about NT7, ie, the possibility to define templates for the Fibonacci tool. One of my template is to gauge the risk reward of a given setup.
200% level -> RR = 1:1
250% level -> RR = 1.5:1
300% level -> RR = 2:1
This Fib tool makes it easy to visually record if your trade has achieved a minimum objective or more.
