there is no purchase link, there is a cart that will take you to google, and that is working just fine.. but it is always best to contact the vendor whenever you have issues ordering their product.
Thanks sysot1t, Those links don't work on any of my three computers. Just upgraded to IE9 this week, maybe the problem. Didn't understand Dutchbookmaker's comment. Will order using an older version of IE tonight. Thanks again.
I had IE9, but I ended up downgrading to IE8... it wasnt ready IMO... as to dutchboomarker's.. I didnt get his point neither, so not sure what he was trying to communicate... best to move on..
FWIW, I watched Field of Vision over the weekend and quite liked it. Most trading DVDs are utter crap, and I steer clear. But since it was by Dalton, I couldn't resist.
I am a very visual person and prefer pictures over words, I wish I could've watched the DVDs when I first started out. I use Market Profile heavily in my trading, and Dalton is probably the best educator on the subject.
This is not a "how to trade" course, it is more focused on "getting a deeper understanding of the market". Although there is more to the market than what MP explains, it provides a solid starting point for a beginning/struggling trader. You can probably find all the MP stuff you need for free online (cisco-futures.com has vast information on the subject e.g.) and by picking up a Steidlmayer and/or Dalton book. But if you are going to pay for a course, this should be it IMHO.
jims books and course lay out market profile in a way that makes it quicker to learn, much much better than anyone.the only problem with his work is it only theory. that means there is no trade set ups, no trade management. no market breath, no inter market comparson,no risk management. no order flow entry or exit. so do not think that market profile is the keys to the bank. it is a blue print of the bank you still have a lot of work to do.
Thank you so much for all the useful information. I think this is just what I need. I have been reading Mind over Markets, some parts of it I get some I have to work on. You did not mention the workbook. Have you used it at all? Do you think it is setup well to make one think or is it just for memory work?
I love the markets. Even if I couldn't trade I think I would still be into this stuff. So interesting about crowd behavior and such.
I just notice on Amazon that you can pre-order James Dalton's Mind Over Markets, Update Edition, which is scheduled to be released July 15, 2013. Current pre-order price is only $44.
I just want to say I purchased Jims Field of Vision in October when I last posted and had no problems. It was delivered promptly.
I found it very informative and exciting. Since then I have been on an assignment with work, but continued my study of the markets, to include taking JPJs class and attend his room. I recently watch Field of Vision again, and this time I got a ton of useful nuggets from it.
So I just want others to know, watching it again, after a few months was better than watching it the first time, for me. I feel like I am starting to get a good handle on the market. I am now looking at the market in a different way. I don't feel as lost or in the dark as I use to feel looking at primarily indicators.
It was well worth the $750.00. I plan to watch it again this fall maybe, and look forward to it. I can only watch about an hour to 1 1/2 at a time and then take a break. Also, I often stop the disc and think about what he just said and write down some notes in the notebook. By doing this it makes the $750.00 price a much better value.
I also purchased his other DVD on his Live Markets Seminar. Much shorter but also very good in my opinion. I don't think I could ever trade like he does, he has such a deep understanding of the market, but JPs has some great trade setups from Market Profile and I find them much easier to take with understanding the markets better.
Hope this helps anyone trying to decide on purchasing the DVD set.
