I am watching F1 last 3 years and I have to say that 2010 was good season, but according to actual tests it can be better this year, more magic with tires, more often pit stops and stronger new teams.
my father also reminds years with Alain Prost, Ayrton Senna and others, but everything is moving forward with hi-technology, drivers security and of course ecology ... it is similar with common cars. my ex bmw e30 was very light ( during first winter I had 50kg of cement in trunk ) , with good driving response offering me lot of fun and now those cars in new concept are very different, yes, there is more power under the hood, but they are much heavier, lot of electronics checking this and that - I dont like it.
But sometimes it is not all about cars, but about drivers. Lot of them are very fast but too much careful, more crazy Sakon Yamamotos (or J.P. Montoya) and it could be lot of fun.
Schumi might surprise, but there is too much pressure on him from all sides to be the best and he needs well balanced machine, which he hasnt. I think red bull and Ferrari will be very strong from beginning, other teams are for me a puzzle..
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
use to watch it. Had season tickets to the USGP in Indianapolis. After the tire boycott and continually seeing MS win every race he started his engine, I lost interest. I'm a huge IRL fan though. IndyCar is my sport
it seams that finally we are set to go....
it will be a weird season....so many new rules and some strange decisions (see moving rear wing rules)...new tires..and so on.....BUT
"Gentleman, start your engine"......(sorry i had a past in nascar pc simulation and i could not resist)
I hope Ferrari was sandbagging. Also, I'm excited to see Nick on the grid again. Maybe the front facing exhaust ports Renault put together will be a real decider in the championship. I know they are expected to be better than the double diffuser that won Jensen the title.
I'm so glad they didn't substitute camel racing after canceling Bahrain...
So instead I wanted to share how a Master Trader performs his skills with precision. Just like in trading, lose your focus, concentration, and enter with inadequate skills...and it could be dangerous.
"Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." --- "Therefore, I Believe it and I will see it. And every day and in every way, I am healthier, wealthier, and wiser."
This version is where the Master Trader comments on his Mastery....listen how he takes a runner in the 2 minute mark...listen how he manages his trades, oops, I mean track....listen how he deals with consolidation area, oops I mean back markers....I like the 5 minute area when he says, "this separates the boys from the girls..." .... and listen how he ends the trading session with a BIG RUNNER...Wow, got love those Germans...

Vettel on Pole with a slammin' lap. Looks like it'll be a season with VERY fast cars.
My wife and I don't subscribe to TV as we don't like paying for horrible news and TV shows that are 1/3 commercials. Also, we enjoy non-US tv shows. And so, we stream everything. And just now, I found the BBC One coverage of Formula 1, streaming. And if you've just seen the US coverage on Speed, BBC One will blow you away.
about F1, today first season race... it was not that bad, and this moving wing it's not that bad either...but i need to go deeper in teh season to comment more...the new tire were also a nice suspance...
red bull is too strong, it will not be an easy season for the follower...ferrari, well, not black, not white....i would say a dark grey...i hope better results in the next tracks.....
then, today they changed the time in europe, so the GP in austarlia was not the best time schedule for me, after a saturday night, if you get the point...ok ok just 1 hour change but, you know .....
So Vettel has taken the first race win, McLaren showed ALOT of promise and Ferrari did decent. Was surprised by both Renault and Petrov. Fernando may hate Petrov at the moment, but I'm sure what made him a double world champion will prevail over Petrov.
Malaysia is coming up this weekend and the tires should be the deciding factor in the race. I dislike that the tires aren't as wear proof as last years. Not that I'm expecting tires that can do 50+ laps like Kobayashi did last year, but 20-25 laps should be somewhat reasonable and not the top end limit.
