I have created a Sierrachart Study to avoid having the spreadsheet open or doing spreadsheet calculations everytime you want a new chart.
The Outer level is drawn automatically based on your chart/bricksize. It retrieves them from your settings. The retracelevels you can define as you want/need them. Currently I have enabled 3 custom retrace levels i can add more if needed.
Please make sure that in Chart Settings "New Bar When Exceeded" is checked on(enabled) and that the Graph Type is set to Candlestick otherwise the levels are going to be all wrong.
You can change the retracelevels on the fly by going into the studies settings and changing the input value, the chart will automatically adjust the values, the calculations are done for you. If you are wondering what you need to put in for the values here is an example:
If you have a 20-19-18 flexrenko chart and you want a 50% retracement level simply divide the first number by 2 and thus input 10 into the input field. The Outermost field is already automatically displayed for you but you can disable it.
If you guys want functionality added or need something specific then let me know and ill see if i can code/add it for you guys. I did this for myself for now because i have become annoyed by using spreadsheets in Sierra and i want to testdrive some autotrade strategies for this which I am going to write in the coming weeks.
Try this .dll, should work without an issue. I just copied it and tested it on a second laptop. Works fine for me. Anyone else having troubles with the study other than lemons?
Weird, I recompiled it on a different maschine and set it to release mode, tested it on my girlfriends laptop with a clean updated install of Sierrachart. Works fine again for me, are you sure you put it into the Data Folder?
Try this file, let me know if it works
EDIT:
You should get the error message when you delete a .dll while its saved onto a chart within a chartbook, because then sierra cant find the file.
1) Delete the old .dll
2) Remove the old study from your studylist on the chart you loaded it onto
3) Copy the new .dll into C:\SierraChart\Data or wherever your data folder is for sierra
4) Load it into the chart by adding it from the studies window.
5) Done
