If you liked that movie Itchy, you should check out Jiro Dreams of Sushi. It's a great documentary.

yeah, I've seen it, and I think it was very well done. It's probably in my top 10 favorite documentaries. Jiro's work ethic is almost sadistic to himself, but has made him renown. I think he derives pleasure from working hard because that's all he's ever known from a very young age after losing his parents. He doesn't even enjoy not working on his days off. When I heard the part that it takes 10 years just to learn rice, not fish or anything, I was shocked. Imagine if he was a trader lol.
He is a trader. He has traded his time for Sushi.

I got to the part where he's on the spaceship but decided to hold out for the dvd at the end of this month considering the quality on the version I was viewing. I've heard really good things about it, but I'm hoping it's not the same as the movie Gravity.

I just want to know what his version of great rice tastes like compared to the regular rice that I have everywhere. I don't understand how rice can get any better than flavorless without something added to it like butter or seasonings.

Saw it when it came out in Imax and had the same reaction. I think it's our generation's 2001.

I would recommend the bluray on the largest screen you can find. You won't be disappointed.

Sushi is all about the rice. Having tried different places across the country it makes a big difference. I can't wait to visit Japan to try some.
