Waste no words on a man who dislikes you. Actions will impress him more.
Some people think they can talk their way out of any situation, and for a time they may be right But if someone already dislikes you, either because of a simple misunderstanding or an error in judgment on your part, he or she will be especially difficult to persuade with words. Their emotions will always get in the way of their ability to think logically and reasonably. Consistent actions over a sustained period of time, however, will usually persuade even the most devout skeptic. If you constantly demonstrate that you are a generous, kind, and caring person, it will be very hard for even your enemies to dislike you. In any case, you will become a better person for having made the effort.
This one is self explanatory but easily overlooked. You will lose in trading, deal with it. When you accept the true nature of trading you will have broken through a significant mental barrier. This is something I am working on with everything I have. I am firstborn and very competitive. Hate losing. It's my biggest block right now.
For those interested, I found some Native American Shaman /Drumming music / Native American flute and Tibetan throat music. If you've never heard it, it's pretty cool.
Buddha had a visit from a farmer with 83 problems. The Buddha pointed out that his biggest problem was expecting no problems.
We expect results from our trading when we haven't yet accepted the nature of the beast. Expect losses. They are an integral part of it. Accept this fact and you will trade easier
I have been using visualizations and Manifesting thinking to aid my trading for last few months
Slowly i am seeing result. Before that i could not take 2x reward trade my mind was always set and fixed that at 1x traders book profit and i end up exiting at 1x rewards even on 4x rewards trades. With help of visualizations and manifesting,I started to break that mental barrier start taking trades, where rewards are more than risk for eg: 1.5x and 2X
But i am facing one problem with it.When i visualize as taking good trades and closing them in profit i end up making those, but when i visualize taking small loss will also ok then i end up with that.I know we can't always have all winner trades,i understand that small loss is ok...
Even if i have small thought of small loss next day,I see myself taking small loss
Procrastination is the bad habit of putting off until the day after tomorrow what should have been done the day before yesterday.
For an achiever, perhaps the most dangerous, most destructive habit of all is procrastination, for it robs you of your initiative. When you put things off once, it’s easier to put them off again, until the habit is so firmly ingrained that it cannot be easily broken. Sadly, the effects of the habit of procrastination are also cumulative. Its cure is obvious — action. You’ll be surprised how quickly you begin to feel better about yourself and your situation when you get going on something — anything. As British prime minister and author Benjamin Disraeli said, “Action may not always bring happiness; but there is no happiness without action.”
I think you might be sending confusing messages to your subconscious. (that a small loss is okay). It can't distinguish between that and a big win.
I suggest the moment you catch yourself visualized that a small trade, or small loss is okay -immediately stop and say forcefully:
"Cancel, Cancel"
(as a key word to cancelling out that image-instruction.)
Take a break and try again imagining a big win and feeling good about it.
If you can't realize that visualization then don't trade that day.
A little loss is not okay.
See yourself having only winners.
Don't listen to your conscious mind if it says that that is impossible, nothing is impossible.
And this is not a question of discussing with your conscious mind - the mind of fear, doubt and what is "realistic" Tell it (your conscious mind) to "piss off" and you're not talking to it right now, your talking to your subconscious mind now.
Count that day lost whose descending sun finds you with no good deeds done.
It is well known among those who make it a practice to help others that doing a service for another benefits the giver as much as — if not more than — the receiver. When you do a good deed for someone else, you become a better person. The positive effect that your good deed has upon you will endure long after it is forgotten by the recipient. Good deeds need not be large or costly. The greatest gifts are gifts of your time and yourself. A kind word or small courtesy will be remembered and appreciated.
There was an ad for a poster for his 17 principles. Here is an excerpt from the email:
"Doing the opposite of the expected, standing out in the crowd, showing your customers and clients you're not the type who settles for the status quo.
Can you see the 17 Principles in action? At a glance, I can identify these eight principles:
Personal Initiative
Enthusiasm
Creative Vision
Positive Mental Attitude
Applied Faith
Going the Extra Mile
Accurate Thinking
Learning from Adversity and Defeat
Given a bit of time I'm sure you could apply even more of Napoleon Hill's philosophy to this situation.
