I am getting restarted. I took a long pause due to other commitments but now I would like to take my study further. It will be great to network with you all. I live in the Oakville region.
Cheers,

Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Thanks for the idea and suggestion. Have you ever met with either group before and if so, what was your gauge on the skills proficiency of the group overall?
Unfortunately I have not met with either group yet. I am hoping to catch up with them later in the week.
There is a third group that meets for psych related stuff, claiming 75 winning trades in a row (must be pretty selective in their trade criteria), but they meet way up hwy. 404. I just can't make it there in reasonable time with traffic and all. Would never attend on a regular basis. I am on Mississauga/Oakville border.
With respect to the other two groups i think one is a webinar. I think the presenter Bryan? also dabbles in HFT type trading.
I used to attend some TMUG (toronto metastock use group) meetings for a couple of years thirty years ago and i thoroughly enjoyed those. All kinds of theories were presented from moon cycles to the angle moving averages cross lol. About 20 traders came out on a regular basis.
I have attended few of their webinars. Bryan organizes through his R/Matlab/Python meet-up pages. A lot of theoretical stuff but not sure how many people there trade real money.
MMaker, thanks for the lay of the land and the various groups to look into. If you could kindly drop me a PM after the meetup to give me a guage of what the skill level and profitability looks like, I would greatly appreciate the help since I'm traveling outside of Canada for most of this month.
