He has stated various times that he trades instruments that require consistent profitability before trading. I don't see why someone would lie about this. He does respond fairly quickly which is amazing. However, If Big mike decided to retire or something happened to him, I'd still come to this forum because it is a great community. The fee is insignificant for what you get.
I don't trade like most of the people on this forum, However I still find it useful for looking up miscellaneous subjects that did help me. I came to this forum because no other place has the information this site has about specific topics. I don't regret the 50 dollars, It's not even as much as I'd lose on a bad trade.

I have come to understand the question of is so'n'so a profitable trader is a beginner traders question. As previous posts on this thread have stated it does not matter if someone else is profitable or not. What is important - are you a successful trader, does your plan fit with your style, do you enter when the market proves your right and exit when it does not - if the answer is yes to these questions the profits work themselves out.
As for making money on the site fees - I used to ref soccer games, you can no longer pay me enough money to deal with arguments between individuals, $50 to deal with all the moderation of the thread posts on this site is not enough in my mind.
And the information readily available is 1000 fold more valuable than $50.
I could understand your concern if you were contemplating a subscription service offering trading advice. However, it is misplaced in this case.
Spend 30 minutes browsing what is available to you as a free member and the value of the ONE TIME RIDICULOUSLY LOW PRICE to become an Elite member will JUMP OUT at you.
Your only regret will be that you asked that question.
Making the big money with a blog like this is not in the $50 sub fee but in the ads. I'm sure he does pretty well with this site and good for him. Its the American dream baby, anyone can try.
1. Quite pathetic --- but predicatble --- the entire (futures.io (formerly BMT)) group charges to defend of their leader, commrade and authority figure.
But on the other hand.....
2. Who gives a sh!t whether Mike is a successful trader or not? If you don't like the $50 Elite fee -- then don't pay the damn man!
+1 to who cares. In all honesty, the amount of time you spend hypothesizing about Mike's profitability reaffirms the fact that you lack the potential to be profitable yourself. Concentrate less on Mike and more on yourself!
Sums up my thoughts, except perhaps I spend less time on other sites
I've got my money's worth 100 x over. As others have said trading is all about you, the trader, not anybody else. futures.io (formerly BMT) is an environment rather than a how-to forum.
