Just ran across this thread, I'm a gun lover myself and have a carry permit (glock 26).
I see some like to carry 1911s but I don't want to walk around with that much weight and length. I think the 26 or others in that size is an ideal choice but like anything else it's personal preference.

@kbit yeah I like the glock 26...I just don't shoot it well. Full size 1911 is what I shoot best and I don't mind the weight, with the right holster it disappears on me. Sig 226 worked fine cause that's what they gave me. I don't buy into the 45 vs 9mm one shot stop argument...shot placement is key. if you are in a gunfight and you are down to your sidearm you better be doing a mag dump until you see the ghost.

i thought it would be inappropriate to post this in the mass shootings discussion but here's a funny youtube video somebody just sent me on "Gun Free Zones".
That is great, facts change with any new info and stats are open to interpretation... And where are they gonna get their facts and stats? They are gonna hear it from someone else.
I am a father and I have three kids, who is more qualified to talk about child birth me or my wife?
One of this biggest issues we face is people are quick to form strong opinions about things they no nothing about. I have been and probably still guilty of this today.
