At the risk of public shaming, I must say that I want the rev. 2 Apple Watch now.
This is after Horace Dediu said that he has found the fitness tracker functionality to be life changing and that he and his other early adopter friends have lost weight due to the heightened daily activity that started when they got their Apple Watches. I am a big fan of QS.
I realize that there are other fitness trackers, such as Fitbit, but I am already dialed into the Apple platform so I would prefer something that works seamlessly with my environment. Anyway the Apple Watch is more powerful than Fitbit.
Now, another thing is that the new Apple Watch is going to have a Pokemon Go app, and it's been suggested to me that this might be a fun activity to pursue with my ten year old, who is avid about Pokemon Go. More quality time outdoors with the daughter, chasing Pokemons.
I´m probably going to get one soon. I talked to a guy who has one of these in black. Seemed quite elegant in concept and he was pleased with it, horses for courses I guess. I gather Nokia have bought them.
Strange that i such a topic nobody mentioned IWC ) I'm a fan of IWC, Breitling, Tag Heuer and Seiko. Also like Hamilton. But on my wrist there are more affordable Skagen from last Queen Collection. Perfect simple northen european design and reliable Japanese Miyota machine inside )
This thread has got me in trouble. Because of my limited Spanish I accidentally told my GF she could have any watch she wanted for Christmas.. well she loves astronomy and has excellent taste, found this on Google images.
Van Cleef & Arpels Complication Poetique Midnight Planetarium... $$$ so I told her its a man's watch and too big for her so I'd give $5k to a sight saving charity instead. Whew, good save (even if she was not serious). I will have to get her something reasonable but just a smart watch.
Be careful saying that in Spanish, it could mean anything. To be honest she was blown away by good raspberry jam and bitter orange marmalade I got this week. Skittles could work..
Also she had Philadelphia cream cheese for the first time.. its like heroin for Colombian women, especially with imported raspberry jam.
I am finding I have a watch-afficionado bug in me that I do not want to let out of it's cage, for it will consume me. I must view this thread at my own peril. Ack!
